Abenezer Children’s Home is a non–profit and non-governmental international organization established to operate exclusively for a charitable purpose in the USA in 2004 G.C. It is Founded by Wro Alemshet Tekleyohanis as a professional discipline abroad. The Organization committed to be involved and participate in the country’s development endeavor and to contribute to the process of sustainable development by Opening a Branch Office in Ethiopia in 2005 G.C by Registered in EFDRE Authority for Civil Society Organization by license No.3091 and Received workplace or land which is 7200m2 in Gerbe Guracha Town Administration. The objective of the project is to proffer orphans, and vulnerable children with basic needs through sponsorship whereby to contribute to the endeavor made by the government to eradicate poverty. These will also use various strategies to achieve the objective of the project. These include income-generating activities for guardians, promoting stakeholders’ participation, counseling and monitoring of children, building the capacity of parents, stakeholders, and project staff, and networking with similar charity organizations. The project is implementing in the Oromia region, Zorth Shoa Zone, kuyu woreda, Garba Guracha Town Administration which is going to benefit 100 children directly and 500 indirect beneficiaries.

Abenezer Children’s Home is to ensure the community and society’s life through sponsorship, especially for the orphaned and highly vulnerable Children and exists to glorify God to cultivate transformation and sustainability.

The Organization is accountable to different stakeholders. It is accountable to its donors, governments, its program beneficiaries, and all partner Civil Society Organizations with whom it is working. It reports the progress of its activities to the government and donors and also shares with other partners through which it ensures its accountability. Moreover, it consults its partners and receives feedback consistently from all.

The Abenezer Children’s Home commits itself to the achievement of its organizational goal and objectives by serving the disadvantaged and marginalized groups of society.

Basic needs such as Supplementary food, personal hygiene, medical, health checkups, and clothing are the priority addressed.

Thrive

Vocational, Educational materials supplies, life skill training, moral & psycho-social development, discipleships, and educational training take place to emphasize learning opportunities for highly vulnerable children in the community.

Succeed

Income generating activities (IGA), community outreach and training, and transitional support and transformation from highly vulnerable to successful sustainable development.
